Since its inception in 1996 the aim of the The Crop Circular has been to disseminate reliable information – free of charge – so that the public can better understand the workings of the most important phenomenon in our time. Good information does not come cheap, and keeping the flow of information year after year free of charge is expensive.

Those who know me well already know how I have resisted all attempts at making this a 'pay-per-view' site, which some others have been doing for years (and much of the information on this subject on the Internet does not even bear any resemblance to reality). I have also resisted the use of advertising on the site. My research over the past decade has never been supported by grants, wealthy donors, corporations, or sponsors. The money has come from selling my home and carefully spending a lifetime of accumulated savings.
